Jason Dempsey was killed in the accident on Rivers Hill Road, Hampton County coroner Ernie Washington said. Dempsey was traveling west in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup when his truck went off the left side of the road and overturned around 3:15 p.m., according to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Department.
