Multi-vehicle crash kills at least four, closes Highway 58 in Meigs County

At least four people are dead after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 58 in Meigs County this afternoon. 

A dispatcher for the Meigs County Sheriff Department said two passenger vehicles were following behind a dump truck when the crash happened in front of Shaw Industries Inc.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Tennessee Highway Patrol at 1-800-305-2201 and request to speak with Sergeant Thomas W. Clower of THP’s Criminal Investigations Division. 

Suspect in Meigs County crash that killed 4 in custody

Authorities in Bradley County confirm that Bennett has been arrested and is in the Bradley County jail. They haven’t commented on potential charges.

Funeral Arrangements Made For 2nd Victim Of Meigs County Crash

Paula Mae Stevens Denton, 61, of Dunlap, died in the three-vehicle accident along with her husband Christopher Sean Denton.
