Pickup truck crashes into East Knoxville church
An East Knoxville church is in need of repairs after a pickup truck crashed into the building.
The church’s pastor shared a photo of the damage with WATE 6 On Your Side showing a big hole in the corner of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
A big, blue tarp now covers the hole. Pastor William Riddle says the accident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday morning. When he arrived, firefighters were cutting a victim out of the truck. The pastor says two people were taken to the hospital.
