The single-engine Bonanza plane crashed "just adjacent" to the runway around 11:45 a.m., airport manager Emily Haun said. A fire broke out but was extinguished.
The plane was locally owned, but the pilot, a frequent patron of the airport, was not the owner, Haun said. His name wasn't immediately available.
