Multiple accidents involving multiple vehicles on icy Lamar Avenue send one man to hospital in critical condition.

There were multiple accidents along Lamar Avenue in Memphis due to icy road conditions. At least one person was thrown from a vehicle and rushed to the hospital.

Reports are that a car has overturned at Lamar Avenue at Winchester Road. There is another accident on Lamar Avenue at East Holmes Road.

A third accident has been reported at Old Lamar Avenue at Perkins Road that involves at least six vehicles. Witnesses on the scene said that it appears the vehicles hit patches of ice and wrecked.

At least two SUV's overturned and the driver of one was thrown from the vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

According to Memphis police, the overpasses at Lamar and Perkins were really icy. A salt truck was requested to help.
