Driver in fatal church crash charged

A Memphis man who crashed his car into a church, killing two passengers, in April has been charged. His car crashed into the N-Sight Christian Center east of the Carpenter Street intersection. Terryell Scott, 28, has been indicted on multiple counts of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The crash killed 26-year-old Marcus Walton and 27-year-old Dontae Coleman who were both in the car at the time. The grand jury indicted Scott on 14 criminal charges, including vehicular homicide involving intoxication, cocaine and recklessness, driving under the influence, and driving with a license that has been suspended, revoked, or canceled.

Police charge driver in deadly crash

Two people were killed in a bizarre crash that nearly took out a Memphis church early Monday morning and the driver faces several charges including vehicular homicide and DUI.
A car, driven by 27-year-old Terryell Scott crashed into the front of the N-Sight Christian Center, located in the 2900 block of Chelsea Avenue, near Warford Street, around 12:30 a.m. Both passengers died at the scene. Scott was taken to Regional Medical Center for injuries and also placed under arrest. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
