Woman arrested, accused of causing crash leaving child critical

A woman was arrested and charged with DUI after police said she caused a crash that left a child in critical condition early Sunday. The driver of the Ford Taurus, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to Regional Medical Center in non-critical condition. The driver of the Ford Taurus told police that Hines ran a red light and hit her vehicle. Police arrested 28-year-old Dominique Hines for the crash that happened around 3:48 a.m. on Frayser Raleigh Road at New Allen Road. The 9-year-old was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

2 children recovering following crash, driver charged with DUI

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two children are in the hospital, recovering after riding in a car that was hit by a drunk driver. It’s the same intersection where police are investigating a drunken crash that sent two children to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital early Sunday morning. Police said Hines wasn’t even supposed to be driving. The crash happened at the busy intersection of Frasyer Boulevard and New Allen Road. Hines is in jail, facing a slew of charges, including driving under the influence, reckless driving and vehicular assault.
