A witness was inside her house when she heard a horrible collision.

She ran outside to see two damaged vehicles, including an SUV with six women inside that ended up flipped upside-down in her front yard.

The witness said most of the women were still hanging by their seat belts.

"She was talking like she was asleep, saying, 'Wake me up! Wake me up!' And I just reassured her that she was awake and they were on the way for her," Perkins said.

A witness told authorities a man driving a second vehicle, later identified as Ronald B. King, 53, attempted to pass him by crossing the double-yellow line but ended up crashing into the SUV head-on.

Three medical helicopters were sent to the scene and transported two of the patients from the SUV. The man in the car didn't survive.
