Sullivan man succumbs to injuries in ATV crash

Two days after an early morning ATV crash in which he was not wearing a helmet, a Bristol, Tenn., died from injuries sustained in the incident. According to a Wednesday press release from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, Michael Taylor Bowman, 22, passed away on Tuesday afternoon. Richardson, who also was not wearing a helmet, suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover. The sheriff's office said that based on statements from witnesses and evidence found at the scene, speed and alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. He had reportedly suffered severe head injuries at approximately 3:30 Sunday morning, when he crashed an ATV in the 800 block of Wyatt Hollow Road.
