Pedestrian killed by train in Unicoi County identified as Bristol man

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has turned over the investigation to CSX Railroad, said Dalya J. Qualls, deputy communications director said.
The pedestrian who died when he was hit by a train in northern Unicoi County late Wednesday night has been identified as William H. Wheeler Jr., 68. Wheeler was hit by a CSX train at the crossing on Sutphin Road off Bill Garland Road just south of Johnson City about 10:30 p.m.
