Investigators say Stone had been speeding and lost control of his vehicle when he attempted to avoid slower traffic on Interstate 27.

Richard Stone, 26, and his passenger, 23-year-old Ashley Margaret Meagher were killed after being ejected from the vehicle they were riding in during a rollover accident on a Texas Panhandle highway. Stone, the driver of the Cadillac SRX was speeding and lost control of his vehicle early Saturday morning. Neither were wearing seatbelts. Both were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred near Happy, located about 35 miles south of Amarillo, Texas.
