Ft. Hood soldier killed by hit and run driver

"This is what this man took from us. We waited two years for our son to finally come home and now he's coming home and not in that way," said Pagan. "I don't know how I'm going to survive or make it through this."

Two years later, still no answers for a soldier's family

The family of 29-year-old Sgt. Derek Pagan has been waiting two years for someone to step forward with information about who hit the soldier on the side of the road in south Austin on April 26, 2015.

Derek Pagan, 29, was walking back to the hotel alone after attending a music event at 2:30 Sunday morning on U.S. 183. He was struck by a vehicle - the driver fled after the collision. According to authorities, there weren't any witnesses. Authorities are asking to hear from body shops that notice damage in the next few days that's inconsistent with a driver's story.
