Officials with the Marble Falls Independent School District said Flemmer was a current student at the high school. Trueblood and Groth were former students there.
Groth was driving a car in which Griffin, Ezekiel Flemmer, 17, and Zachery Trueblood were passengers on County Road 120 at about 10:30pm when he veered off of the roadway to the left. He then overcorrected and left the road to the right, where he crashed through a fence before finally hitting a tree, with the impact causing the car to catch fire. It is believed that Groth was speeding when he lost control. Both he and Griffin were killed in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene, while Flemmer and Trueblood both sustained serious injuries and have been transported to the hospital.
