CCPD: DWI crash kills a young mother, leaves two children in critical condition

According to police, a car driving eastbound on Saratoga clipped one car and rear-ended another, forcing that vehicle into the lane of oncoming traffic,  where another car head-on hit it.

Alleged DWI driver that caused fatal accident faces multiple charges

25-year-old John Andrew Alvarado was arrested on multiple charges, including intoxication manslaughter, two charges of intoxication assault and accident involving injury or death, and is being held at the Nueces County Jail on a $245,000 bond.     

Sister mourns loss of family member killed in DWI crash

Rodriguez died early Saturday morning after being hit by a suspected drunk driver in the 3700 block of Saratoga Boulevard. Her two children were hospitalized in critical condition.

Suspected drunk driver accused of killing mother appears in court

Alvarado is facing one count of intoxication manslaughter, two counts of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury and one county of causing an accident involving death.
