According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner's office, Rai Ane Garza died yesterday after she was hit by a car while crossing the street at the intersection of Staples Street and Mustang Trail.

Deputies say Holmes admitted to his probation officer that he had used alcohol. The probation office contacted the Sheriff’s Office and Holmes was once again arrested.

Visitation, prayer service today for teen killed in hit and run

A visitation will be held today from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel.

There will also be a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

Hearing in fatal hit and run lawsuit postponed

Judge Lisa Gonzales was set to rule on the injunctions filed Thursday morning in County Court at Law 2 but the attorney in court representing the mothers didn't have the paperwork requested by the judge. So, Judge Gonzales ordered that the case be reset for April 24th.
