Body found in creek is probably former assistant chief, police say

Dallas police say they believe that they have found the body of a former assistant chief who disappeared early last week.

Police believe Holliday may be armed and may harm himself. Investigators are asking for anyone who has any information on his whereabouts to call 911 or contact the DPD Missing Persons Unit at 214-671-4268.

Dallas police are continuing their search for a missing former assistant police chief.

Police are looking for 63-year-old Gregory Holliday, a former assistant police chief for the Dallas Police Department who was listed as a critical missing person on Monday.

On Tuesday, Maj. Jax Geron with the Dallas Police Department, tweeted that police believe Holliday received minor injuries in a pedestrian collision at Midway and Frankford Road sat about 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Geron also tweeted that the driver of the vehicle confirms it was Holliday and that he refused to cooperate with Dallas Fire-Rescue. He walked away before the Dallas police arrived.

Police said Tuesday that Holliday, who refused treatment, may be disoriented and injured from the crash.
