Garland police searching for driver in fatal hit-and-run

GARLAND, Texas (AP) — Police in the Dallas suburb of Garland are searching for a driver who fled after fatally striking a pedestrian trying to cross the street. Garland police say that the hit-and-run happened Saturday evening. Investigators are working to identify the woman who was killed. Police say that witnesses told them that a person driving a gold Ford Mustang with a black convertible top hit the woman as she tried to cross the street.

GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) – Garland Police are searching for a vehicle and its driver involved in a deadly hit and run Saturday night. Witnesses told police they saw the Mustang hit a woman who was crossing the street. It happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of W. Kingsley Road. According to witnesses, a gold, newer model Ford Mustang, with a black convertible top, was traveling eastbound on W. Kingsley Road. Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and its driver.
