Driver Killed in Head-On Crash Near Sanger School

The condition of the two children in the Hyundai was not released. The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.

Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Lonny Haschel said the driver of a Hyundai Accent sedan traveling west no FM 455 crossed the center line and ran into a Mitsubishi Endeavor sport utility going the other way.

The driver of the Hyundai died at the scene. Two young children in the car were injured. One was transported in an ambulance to Denton Regional Medical Center and the other was flown to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

April Moore Killed, 3 Injured in Sanger TX Car Accident

The driver of the Hyundai Accent, 30-year-old April Moore, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Her two child passengers (an 8-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy) were transported to local hospitals. One was taken by air ambulance (CareFlite) to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, while the other was taken by ambulance to Denton Regional Medical Center.
One person is dead, and three are seriously injured following a head-on collision on Farm to Market Road 455 Monday afternoon. The accident occured around 4:00 p.m. near Sanger High School when a person driving west in a Hyundai Accent crossed into eastbound traffic and collided with a Mitsubishi Endeavor. The driver of the Hyundai died at the scene, and the two passengers in that vehicle, two young children, sustained injuries. One child was taken to Denton Regional Medical Center, and the other was flown to Cook Children's Medical Center. The driver of the Mitsubishi, who was trapped in the SUV, was removed by firefighters and flown to the Medical Center of Plano.
