Accident leaves one man dead and another injured
The single vehicle accident happened at 2:33 a.m. Sunday on the 1900 block of Old Port Isabel Road. Authorities said the driver of a Chevy Camaro struck a tree, killing 21-year-old Erasmo Avila Jr. and leaving another man critically injured. The injured man remains hospitalized.
