Child dies, sister hospitalized after morning auto-pedestrian crash
The driver of a gray 2012 Hyundai Elantra, who fled from the crash scene failing to stop and render aid, was apprehended at 11 a.m. at a residence in Primera by the Primera Police Department, according to a Harlingen police press release.

The suspect's name and identities of the victim are not yet being released. Harlingen police say the suspect will be formally charged Monday.

Huerta’s release comes the following day the alleged driver, 42-year-old Jose Ricardo Trujillo was charged with Accident Involving Death (2nd Degree Felony) and Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury (3rd Degree Felony).
