Police: 61-year-old woman dead after auto-pedestrian accident in Mission
Mission police responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian accident off Business 83 where an elderly woman died early Friday morning, according to Lt. Jody Tittle with the Mission Police Department.
The incident happened at about 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of San Antonio Avenue and Business 83.
When police arrived, an elderly woman was found dead at the scene.
Further investigation revealed that a 61-year-old Mission woman was crossing San Antonio Avenue when a passenger van turned onto the street and struck her, according to Tittle. The woman's identity will remain undisclosed until next of kin is notified.
