This is really hard to watch.
First things first: apparently everyone survived, and the baby and toddler are currently stabilized and recovering in the hospital, but that will not be super helpful to your stress level while/immediately after viewing. If you are currently the mother of young children, have a drink ready or your chosen method of self-care for when the video is done, because you will need it.

To promote and ensure the safety of children, legislation has been set in place to enforce the use of a safety restraint system for children. The Texas Car Seat Law, for instance, requires that restraint systems must be properly installed and made use of according to the manufacturer’s instruction for all children who are less than eight years old or shorter than 57 inches. Whether or not it was the victims fault or that of the driver, the lack of being able to identify the aggressor or associate a face leaves many families at a standstill in their grieving process. Along with shock, anger and questions can emerge especially if a fatality is involved leaving many people asking the question why they left in the first place.
A stunning 31% of all the traffic deaths in the United States were involving people who drove while they were intoxicated. That’s no less than 10,000 persons a year or 28 a day! Driving while intoxicated is commonly known as DUI (driving under the influence), but in some states it’s also referred to as DWI (driving while intoxicated), OWI (operating while impaired) and OVI (operating a vehicle under the influence). This is not only very deadly, but also illegal in all 50 states.
Texas resident drivers are required by law to have some form of vehicle insurance along with proof of that insurance within their car. Although many states require you to have specific protection plans, Texas only requires you to have liability coverage which does not fully protect you or others in the case of an accident.
Typically, when handling a bodily injury claim for personal injuries sustained in an automobile collision or premises liability claim, there is more than one avenue for recovery. Liability insurance is the insurance coverage afforded by the other driver; the driver that caused the collision (i.e. “third party”). Underinsured/Uninsured motorist coverage is insurance coverage afforded byyour insurance (i.e. “first party”). In a collision where injuries are sustained, the liability insurance is initially responsible for injuries sustained in the collision.
