Deputies west of Jersey Village said a driver was killed when he crashed his Ford Mustang into a utility pole.

Early Friday, a man was driving a Mustang northbound on Yorktown Crossing at Kings Briar in northwest Harris County when he lost control of the vehicle, skidded off the road, and crashed into a wooden utility pole. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
