Sgt. Jack Valenzuela injured and Deputy Robert Layman seriously injured after their stopped patrol car is struck on I-45 in Conroe, TX

The two deputies were first helping a driver who's car was stopped in one of the moving lanes of I-45, and their patrol car was parked in a moving lane as well, blocking traffic. Right as the men were returning to their patrol car, it was struck by another car and both men were injured. Valenzuela has already been treated and released, but Layman sustained much more serious injuries and will likely be in the hospital for quite some time.
