Woman killed, man injured and facing DUI charges after he crashes pickup into ditch on Swiftwater near Randolph in Houston, Texas

A man is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge after a fatal crash in Southeast Houston, according to Houston Police. Police said the male driver lost control of his truck at Swiftwater near Randolph around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday. The truck went off the road, through a series of mailboxes, and flipped into the ditch, according to HPD. Investigators said the female passenger died at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He was determined to drinking and driving.
