Woman arrested for DUI after striking police car and crashing into ditch while driving the wrong way on a street in Harris County.

Houston police arrested a woman Thursday morning after officers said she drove the wrong way on the road and crashed into a patrol car. Officers said that woman was driving on Almeda around 12:45 a.m. Thursday when she turned down the wrong side of the road and started driving against traffic. An officer traveling in those lanes saw the driver and tried to avoid her. The woman ended up clipping the back of the police car. She then lost control and drove into a large ditch on the side of the road. No one was injured in the accident. Investigators say police arrested the woman after she failed a field sobriety test.
