Two people injured when motorcycle and car collide on FM 1960 near Moonshine Hill Loop in Houston, Texas
2 hospitalized after motorcycle, car collide in northeast Houston
Two people were hospitalized Friday night after a motorcycle and a car collided in northeast Houston.
A car was pulling out of a smoke shop parking lot when the motorcycle collided into its side. Witnesses say that both the driver of the car and the motorcyclist were going the appropriate speed. The motorcyclist was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition, the driver of the car in stable condition. Police say alcohol was not involved.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
