Baby delivered after deadly accident
“He was going to go get it fixed later on once he got more money, but she wanted it fixed now so she was demanding more money,” said HPD Investigator Rolando Saenz.
The woman was struck by a pickup truck about 10:45 a.m. Monday on South Kirkwood. The woman and a man, reportedly her husband, had been arguing just before she was hit. The driver got into the Silverado truck and began to drive away. The pregnant woman grabbed onto the driver's side door while the truck was moving and was struck by the truck. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. The woman died there, but doctors were able to deliver the baby.
