Comments posted to this northwest cycling club Facebook page identify the victim as Dan Hertweck.
Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1700 Antoine
At this time, there are no charges in the incident. The investigation is continuing.
The victim was riding a bicycle northbound on Antoine at about 7:10 p.m. when he and the driver of a white Isuzu box truck both stopped at a red light at the intersection of Long Point. When the light turned green, the Isuzu's driver proceeded through the intersection, striking the bicyclist. The driver remained at the scene and told responding HPD officers he did not see the bicyclist either at the light or when he drove through the intersection.
