Motorcyclist traveling wrong-way fatally crashes into off-duty officer

Deputies told Channel 2 the motorcyclist was traveling the wrong way for several miles until spotted by a Harris County deputy. "It was too late once motorcycle was spotted to make any kind of movement," the detective told Channel 2. Officers arrived to the scene in the southbound lanes of Beltway 8 at Highway 90 around 3 a.m. The deputy followed the motorcyclist for a few miles and eventually caught up to the driver after he was already involved in the crash.
