Motorcyclist dies after high-speed crash in Uptown
Police say the motorcyclist tried to go around an SUV by going the wrong way down the street just as the SUV was turning left into a residential area. The rider crashed into the side of the SUV at a high rate of speed.
The biker, who was in his 20s, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
