Ben's friends have organized a candlelight vigil and balloon release for him Sunday at Stephen F. Austin High School, where the boys attended school.
At about 7:00pm, a 17-year-old driver was traveling at a high-speed on wet roads. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle, strike a curb, followed by a brick fence, and finally come to rest with the vehicle upside-down. The crash killed a 16-year-old passenger in the car, and injured the 17-year-old enough to warrant them being airlifted to the hospital. Check back for more details on this accident as more information is released to the public.
