Funeral arrangements set for Pearsall officer killed in wreck
A funeral procession will begin Saturday at 9 a.m. at Porter Loring, with a funeral mass to be held at 10 a.m. at St. The Pearsall Police Department said a rosary will be held Friday evening at Porter Loring Mortuary downtown on McCullough beginning at 7 p.m.

A Pearsall police officer, Michael Villarreal, 51, died in a crash Sunday afternoon. Villarreal was killed when his patrol car crashed head-on with a pickup truck about west of Jourdanton on Highway 97.The driver of the truck and a juvenile in Villarreal's patrol car were airlifted to San Antonio. Their conditions are not currently being reported.
