Interstate 37 has reopened after a pileup between Loops 1604 and 410, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

The highway was closed for several hours, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Multiple unrelated crashes occurred on that stretch of road, with fog as a factor, said a sheriff's office spokesman. Eight people were transported to area hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The crashes occurred around 9 a.m. between Loop 410 and Hardy Road, when the dense fog was limiting visibility to 50 feet, Berry said. At least 30 vehicles were involved, including one 18-wheeler, Berry said.
