Woman arrested after crashing car, leading Bexar deputy on chase.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested a driver early Tuesday who hit another vehicle and a bus stop before leading a deputy on a chase.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested a driver early Tuesday who hit another vehicle and a bus stop before leading a deputy on a chase.

The deputy was driving south on McCullough Avenue just before 2:30 a.m. when he tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, according to the sheriff's office. The vehicle almost hit another vehicle, and it had no headlights and severe front-end damage, according to deputies.

The driver, Vanessa Munoz, 24, refused to stop and then drove on to Interstate 35 south at a speed of 60 miles per hour, according to deputies. She then merged onto Interstate 10 west and exited at Culebra Road.

Munoz eventually stopped in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Culebra Road, according to deputies. She was arrested and charged with felony evading arrest or detention in a vehicle and driving while intoxicated.
