The woman, who said she did not see Graves, attempted to turn left onto FM 1102, striking Grave's motorcycle with the front of her truck. Graves was thrown from his bike, which slammed into a guard rail after the collision.

SAN ANTONIO — A motorcyclist from New Braunfels who died Wednesday night after being thrown from his bike has been identified.

DPS Trooper Gerald Rogers said Darrell Graves, 55, was killed after being struck by a truck just before 10 p.m.

Rogers said Graves had been headed south on FM 1102 as a woman, 22, driving a Chevrolet Silverado sat at a stop sign on Hunter Road. The woman, who said she did not see Graves, attempted to turn left onto FM 1102, striking Grave's motorcycle with the front of her truck. Graves was thrown from his bike, which slammed into a guard rail after the collision.

The driver of the truck was taken to Central Texas Medical Center for treatment and was released the same night, Rogers said.

Graves was pronounced dead at the scene.
