Man in suspected DWI crash in San Antonio identified

The suspected drunken driver arrested after a fatal single-car crash Sunday night has been identified as Pedro Medina Rodriguez, 50, police said.

Victim, driver ID'd in fatal crash off Military Highway

Melchor Hernandez, 33, died on impact. He was a passenger in Pedro Rodriguez's, 50, truck, according to police. Rodriguez is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Rodriguez has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. His bail was set at $75,000. Rodriguez was swerving in a white Chevy pickup on the south side of San Antonio, speeding. When he tried to turn onto the Interstate 35 access road he lost control and crashed into a pole. One unidentified passenger died at the scene. Another passenger got out of the car and was picked up by another vehicle.
