100-plus mph driver dies in fiery accident

SEGUIN, Texas '€“ Police say a wrong-way driver on I-10 near SH-130 caused a deadly collision shortly after 7am Monday morning. According to a post by Deputy Chief B. Ure on the Seguin Police Facebook page, '€œThe driver of the Range Rover then crashed (at a high rate of speed) into the large, concrete SH-130 bridge support, whereas it caught fire.'€ Officials and bystanders at the scene put out the fire, but the Range Rover driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Seguin Police say they were alerted to several vehicles on I-10 '€œtraveling at over 100 mph, driving recklessly, even passing cars on the shoulders.'€ All lanes of I-10 were totally shut down for more than two hours as police investigated the incident and crews cleaned-up the area.
