Four confirmed dead in Bear Lake boating accident, three hospitalized
The ski boat capsized with seven people on board, 2News reported late Monday, and several police agencies and rescuers spent the night searching an area between Bear Lake State Park in Utah and the Idaho side of the lake, where another park is located.

Rich County Sheriff Dale Stacey confirmed Tuesday morning that seven people — two adults and five children — were on the boat. They were a mixture of family and friends from Weber County.

Saying prayers and singing primary songs were a couple things two teens did before being rescued from a fatal boating accident at Bear Lake on Monday. Tiffany Stoker, 14 and Tylinn Tilley, 13, were two girls on the boat who survived and were rescued from the chilling waters with body temperatures of 68 degrees after trying to swim for three hours in 53 degree water.

Rescuers found the group, but Utah Doctor Lance Capener died at the lake. His daughters Kelsey Capener, 13, and Kilee Capener, 7, and their friend Sierra Hadley, 13, were flown to a Salt Lake City hospital, where they died early Tuesday. Capener's wife, Kathy Capener, 42, was hospitalized in the northern Utah city of Logan, as were family friends Tiffany Stoker, 14, and Tylinn Tilley, 14. The teen girls were released from the hospital on Tuesday.
