1 person dead after car crash on I-15 near Layton

The male driver lost control of his vehicle, spun out and was t-boned by a motorhome, according to UHP.

The driver died and the passenger was airlifted to an area hospital.

At 9 a.m., 75-year-old Stephen Stumph of Clearfield was driving north in a silver Toyota sedan in the rain on a stretch of highway near Layton where there was standing water on the roadway, officials said.
