The boy was the passenger in a car traveling north on Main Street about 7:20 p.m., said Layton police Sgt. Clint Bobrowski. The driver, also a 15-year-old boy, turned left in front of a car traveling south near Reid Street (1540 West).

A 15-year-old boy died from injuries sustained in a car crash near Reid Drive and Main Street about 7:20 p.m. Friday. Authorities later identified the teen as Joshua Nielsen of Layton.
