A 17-year-old girl was seriously injured Tuesday morning when she collided with the rear end of a school bus on foggy Highway 89/91 in Cache County. Logan police said the accident report came in at 7:37 a.m. from the area of 800 West and 1700 South. A girl was driving an Oldsmobile Alero westbound on 800 West and because of dense fog did not see the stop sign at the road’s intersection with the highway. She went into the intersection and collided with the rear of the bus, which was carrying more than a dozen children to Adams Elementary School in Logan, police said. While the bus sustained bumper damage, the car’s front end was crushed. The girl was taken by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital for treatment of possible neck and spinal injuries. None of the children on the bus or the driver were hurt. The children were transferred to another bus and continued on to school.
