Bicyclist killed in collision in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City police have not yet disclosed the name of the 31-year-old bicyclist. Salt Lake City police have not yet said whether the cyclist stopped or if he was wearing a helmet. Wednesday, the man was riding his bicycle west on 700 South. At 900 East, the cyclist collided with a car traveling south through the intersection. The intersection has stop signs for traffic on 700 South.

According to information from the Salt Lake City Police Department, Watson was riding west on 700 south and going downhill as he approached 900 East. A 45-year-old man was driving a vehicle southbound on 900 East, and “the bicyclist collided with the vehicle at the intersection.”
