Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Salt Lake City

The man, believed to be about 50, was crossing 400 South near 330 West about 5:20 a.m. when a westbound vehicle struck him, said Salt Lake City police Lt. The man, whom police have not yet been able to identify, suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, Ross said. A witness said the man was walking quickly when he stepped into traffic outside of a crosswalk, Ross said.
