Police: Woman hurt in Route 29 Accident Dies from Injuries

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, a woman who was hurt in an accident on Route 29 has died from her injuries. Police say a woman was driving a Mazda pick-up truck on Route 29 Plank Road around 5:40 p.m. on September 8 when she lost control of the vehicle. Albemarle County Police say the driver died on Friday, September 18, from injuries sustained in the accident. Police say the truck ran off the road, went airborne, and then rolled several times. An off-duty police officer helped the victim at the time.

Police identify woman who died in U.S. 29 wreck

Deborah Moran Brent, 61, of Faber, was driving south on U.S. 29 near Plank Road when her 1995 Mazda pickup truck ran off the right shoulder. Brent then overcorrected the vehicle, which crossed two lanes of traffic before going airborne.
