The preliminary investigation indicates a man was walking across the street from a 7-Eleven store to the Cambridge Apartments when he was hit by a Ford F-150 traveling eastbound.
Investigation underway after fatal vehicle accident involving pedestrian in James City County
He was taken to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital in Williamsburg where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Frank “Frankie” William Evans.

A 52-year-old man was walking across the street from a 7-eleven store when he was struck by an eastbound Ford F-150 driven by a 19-year old driver at about 9 p.m. on Thursday. The victim was taken to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital but was pronounced dead. The driver did not sustain any injury. The James City County Police Department are still investigating the accident that happened on the 7200 block of Merrimac Trail in James City County, Virginia.
