Major Gene Drewery, with the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, said the crash happened around 10:40 a.m. He said A 2000 Freight-liner heading east ran through a red light at the intersection of Southampton Parkway and Story’s Station Road. The tractor-trailer crashed into the UTZ work van as it was making a right turn onto Southampton Parkway.

The driver of the van was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver of the truck, 31-year-old Kenneth Edwards, was charged with reckless driving and failing to maintain proper control.
