A 56-year-old man died in a single-vehicle accident in Isle of Wight County Thursday morning, a Virginia State Police spokeswoman said.

A 56-year-old man died in a single-vehicle accident in Isle of Wight County Thursday morning, a Virginia State Police spokeswoman said.
The accident happened just after 11:50 a.m., when the driver of a 2005 dump truck traveling south on Route 17 turned right on Cedar Grove Road, a Virginia State Police spokeswoman said in a news release.
The driver lost control, ran off the road and hit an embankment, causing the truck to overturn on its side, she said.
Anaya said Ronald Allen Swartz was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened, and the truck, owned by general contractor T.A. Sheets, was loaded down with mud.
