Man dies after hit by car in Newport News

It is believed that alcohol was a factor in the accident on behalf of Castle.
A man was killed after being struck by a car in Newport News early Sunday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Jefferson Avenue and Ellen Drive. The driver of a Chrysler Sedan struck  64-year-old Larry Douglas Castle, 64, who was walking south along Jefferson Avenue when he fell into the traffic lane, and was struck by the Chrysler.  No charges have been filed in the crash.
