A vehicle accident has closed the Midtown Tunnel in both directions.

Norfolk Police say that a call came in reporting a vehicle crash at around 2:45 p.m. in the Midtown Tunnel in Norfolk. Injuries have been reported, but how many people have been injured is currently unknown. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take the I-264 Downtown Tunnel as an alternate route.
